
A Brief History
Yayasan Warga Persahabatan (YWP) was founded on July 14, 1979, with the mission through the Foundation's own efforts or with government and private assistance to help foster and strengthen a sense of social solidarity and improve the welfare of the founders of the foundation (Japanese Veterans) who fought in the War of Independence of the Republic of Indonesia, and their descendants who have become Indonesian citizens and their children and grandchildren in particular and Indonesian citizens in general, in the material, spiritual and mental fields.

Yayasan Warga Persahabatan's main activity is to provide medical assistance for the first generation/founders; educational scholarships for the descendants; educational scholarships for outstanding Indonesian youth and from underprivileged families; and carry out various social and cultural activities that support and encourage the improvement of cooperative relations and friendship between Indonesia and Japan.

1. Providing medical, material, spiritual and mental support for the first generation/founders/Japanese veterans involved in the war of independence of the Republic of Indonesia
2. Providing educational scholarships for the descendants
3. Providing educational scholarships for outstanding Indonesian youth and from underprivileged families
4. Carry out various social and cultural activities and activities that support and encourage the improvement of cooperative relations and friendship between Indonesia and Japan.
